Welcome to the official website for the Auditor of Brown County, Ohio.  This site was established by the auditor to better serve county citizens with current information regarding the functions, services and requests for information.  Jill Hall is your Brown County Auditor.  Jill and her team strive to efficiently and effectively manage the finances of the Brown County government.

Dear Taxpayer,

As county Auditor, it is my job to see that the funds of Brown County are spent legally and that the tax revenues are distributed properly.  It is my responsibility to account for the millions of dollars received each year by the county and to issue warrants (checks) in payment of all county obligations, including the distribution of tax dollars to the townships, villages, cities, school districts and library systems as well as other county agencies. The Auditor's General Accounting Department is the watchdog over all county funds and maintains the official records of all receipts, disbursements and fund balances.

Jill Hall brings over 30 years' experience in business accounting and management to humbly serve as your Brown County Auditor.  As a native of Falmouth, Kentucky, Jill attended the University of Kentucky, majoring in accounting.  She has furthered her education with numerous professional classes during her business career.

Mrs. Hall is a member of numerous organizations such as, County Auditor’s Association of Ohio, Ohio Government Finance Officers Association, Brown County Farm Bureau, Brown County Republican Club, Brown County Chamber of Commerce, University of Kentucky Alumni, Kentucky 4-H Alumni Association, International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO), Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, and the Georgetown Church of Christ.

Jill is a proud three-decade resident of Brown County, where she currently resides on the family farm near Mt. Orab with her husband Paul.  They have three daughters, Caroline Hennig (Sam), Anna Stroud (Andrew) and Rebecca Conrad (Brad).
